For the Meat
- Beef : 500 grams
- Onion : 1
- Garlic Clove : 1
- Neutral oil : 1 tablespoon
- Worcestershire sauce : 1 tablespoon
- Tomato paste : 1 tablespoon
- Salt : 1 pinch
- Pepper : 1 pinch
For the Corn Layer
- Whole Kernel Corn : 398 milliliters
- Creamed corn : 398 milliliters
For the Mashed Potatoes
- Potatoes : 800 kilograms
- Unsalted butter : 50 grams
- Milk : 100 milliliters
- Nutmeg : 1 pinch
- Salt : 1 pinch
- Pepper : 1 pinch
Preparation steps
Prepare the Ground Beef

Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add the onion and garlic, sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until translucent. -
Add the ground beef, cook for 5 to 7 minutes while breaking it up.
Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste, season with salt and pepper, mix well, and let simmer for 2 minutes.
Set aside.
Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into chunks.
Boil in salted water for 15 to 20 minutes until tender. -
Drain and mash with butter and warm milk.
Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.
Assembling the Pâté Chinois

In an ovenproof dish, spread the ground beef in an even layer.

Add the corn kernels, then the creamed corn.

Top with the mashed potatoes, smoothing the surface.
Baking

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the top is slightly golden.
