Ingredients
- Braided Brioche : 1
- Eggs : 2
- Milk : 10 centiliters
- Whipping cream 30% : 10 centiliters
- Unsalted butter : 50 grams
- Vanilla sugar : 10 grams
Preparation steps
-
Cut 4 thick slices from the brioche, about 3 or 4 cm thick.
Set aside for later use. -
Place the eggs in a bowl and whisk.
-
Add the milk and cream and stir.
-
Finally, add the vanilla sugar and whisk again.
-
Pour the mixture into a flat-bottomed mould.
-
Place the brioche pieces on top and leave them to soak for a few seconds.
-
Heat the butter in a frying pan over medium heat (all of it if cooking all 4 slices at once, or half of it if cooking in 2 batches).
-
When the pan is hot and the butter begins to foam, sear the brioche pieces for about 2 minutes on each side.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving.
