Maple-Glazed Salmon Fillets
Discover our Maple-Glazed Salmon Fillets recipe, a simple yet delicious dish that combines the natural sweetness of maple syrup with the tender texture of salmon. Perfect for an elegant dinner or a family meal, this dish offers a delightful balance of sweet and savory flavors that will please your taste buds. Follow our step-by-step guide to prepare these maple-glazed salmon fillets, either baked or pan-seared, for an easy and flavorful meal.
Ingredients
- Salmon (Fillets - About 6 ounces each) : 4
- Maple syrup : 80
- Soy sauce : 2
- Mustard : 1
- Rice vinegar : 1
- Garlic Cloves (Minced) : 2
- Black Pepper : 1/2
- Salt : 1/4
- Olive oil : 1
- Fresh parsley : 1
- Yellow lemon (Wedges) : 1
Preparation steps
-
Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (205°C) and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
In a bowl, mix together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, vinegar, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt until well combined. Set aside. -
Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish. Pour half of the glaze over the salmon, making sure each fillet is well coated.
Let the salmon rest in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes (or ideally up to an hour) to absorb the flavors. -
Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the salmon fillets, skin-side down, if they have skin.
Sear the salmon for about 2–3 minutes until the skin is nice and crispy. -
Place the salmon on your prepared baking sheet. Brush the salmon with some of the remaining glaze.
Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. - Temperature: 204°C
- Heat: rotary
- Baking time: 12 min
-
When the salmon is cooked, remove it from the oven and brush it with the remaining glaze using a silicone brush.
Let it rest for a few minutes to absorb all the flavor. Sprinkle a bit of chopped fresh parsley on top for color, and serve with lemon wedges.
Pair the glazed salmon with roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
