Ingredients
Thyme-flavoured béchamel sauce
- Flour : 50 grams
- Unsalted butter : 50 grams
- Milk : 50 centiliters
- Thyme (bunch) : 1
- Nutmeg : 1 pinch
- Salt : 1 pinch
- Pepper : 1 pinch
Endives with ham
- Endives : 4
- White ham (slices) : 4
- Unsalted butter : 20 grams
- Gruyere (grated) : 20 grams
- Ham and Endive Gratin : 1
Preparation steps

Make the béchamel by following the steps in the linked recipe.
Set aside. -
Cut off endive stems and remove any damaged leaves.
Cut each endive in half lengthways. -
Melt the butter in a frying pan and place the endives on top.
Brown each side for 3 minutes over medium heat, covered. -
Gather the endives in pairs and roll them up with a slice of ham.

Place a small amount of béchamel sauce and the rolled endives in the ovenproof dish.
Pour the rest of the béchamel over the entire dish. -
Sprinkle with grated Gruyère and bake for 25 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius on a fan oven.
