Ingredients
- Flour : 250 grams
- Unsalted butter (Cold) : 125 grams
- Caster sugar : 1 tablespoon
- Salt : 1 pinch
- Water (Cold) : 6 teaspoons
Preparation steps

Mix the flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
Add the cold butter and work it with your fingertips until you get a crumbly, sand-like texture. -
Add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough forms a ball.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and line the tart pan (bottom and sides) with the rolled dough.
Refrigerate for about 30 minutes. -
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
Cover the pastry with parchment paper and fill with baking weights or dried beans for blind baking.
Pre-bake the crust for 15 minutes. Remove the weights and parchment, and let the crust cool slightly.
